Securing and supporting requirements for RMC are outlined in Sec. 344.30 of the 2011 NEC. The rule states, "RMC shall be installed as a complete system in accordance with 300.18 and shall be securely fastened in place and supported in accordance with 344.30(A) and (B)." As per 344.30(B)(4), "Horizontal runs of RMC supported by openings through framing members at intervals not exceeding 10 ft and securely fastened within 3 ft of termination points shall be permitted."
