The provisions of Art. 690 apply to solar photovoltaic (PV) electrical energy systems. Part IV of this Article focuses on wiring methods. As noted in Sec. 690.31(H), "Flexible, fine-stranded cables shall be terminated only with terminals, lugs, devices, or connectors in accordance with 110.14."
