"If you run DC input PV system conductors and AC inverter output conductors inside a building or structure, run them in metal raceway, Type MC cable, or metal enclosure [690.31(E)]. "

There has been quite a bit of discussion to the second part of this comment. AC inverter output conductors do not apply to section 690.31(E) as it now specifically only relates to DC. I cannot find any section in the code that states AC inverter output conductors must be run in a metal raceway inside a building to the disconnect. Is there such provision?

Hello,

Your interpretation is correct. Section 690.31(E) would not apply to the Inverter Output conductors based on the title of 690.31(E).
