SourceAlliance, Raleigh, N.C., announced that Owens Corning, Toledo, Ohio, has committed to purchase its electrical products through the SourceAlliance e-marketplace. SourceAlliance is an online integrated supply portal created by Rockwell Automation and open to other manufacturers to serve large customers with nationwide operations. Owens Corning expects to see benefits from the relationship, including

SourceAlliance is an online integrated supply portal created by Rockwell Automation and open to other manufacturers to serve large customers with nationwide operations. Owens Corning expects to see benefits from the relationship, including savings in product price, reductions in transaction cost and improved process capabilities. The relationship between SourceAlliance and Owens Corning is expected to further streamline the purchasing process at Owens Corning plants in the United States, according to the companies. Owens Corning expects measured improvements in its business process and cost savings as a result.
