This is an actual sign that electrical superintendent Dick Young posted along the road on the west edge of Beatrice, Neb. The city has so many outages caused by squirrels that city officials asked Dick to do something about it.”

Young said, “Of course it's tongue-in-cheek, but if it works — great. The problem is most squirrels probably cannot read; so we're going to have to get down to serious study. Other things we'll try are special protector lines, conduits and squirrel guards on poles.”
