Contractors can learn more about new profit opportunities in residential communications wiring with The Internet Home, a new magazine from Graybar. The 32-page magazine features the Leviton Structured Media™ System and the products for installing and testing it.

"Anticipating the move to high-speed networks in homes, the FCC recently changed the rules for residential wiring," said Karl Griffith, Graybar's Director Reseller Market. "Quad wire (red, black, yellow and green) looped from room to room is no longer acceptable. Every communications outlet in a new home must be connected with high-speed, standards-compliant cables and connectors wired to a central distribution device. Graybar has the inventory in place to support the contractors' immediate needs for this wiring," Griffith said.

The Internet Home includes products from industry leaders such as Allen Tel, Allied Telesyn, Arrow Fastener, Belden, Brother International, CommScope, Erico/CADDY, Fiskars, Greenlee, Harris, IDEAL, Leviton Voice & Data, Microtest, Milwaukee, Panduit, Tempo (Progressive Electronics), Tripp Lite and Zircon.

The quality products featured include:

  • Structured Media Centers
  • Wallplate Options
  • Video Modules
  • Cable Support and Mounting
  • Coax and Residential Cabling
  • Coax Accessories
  • Cable Fault Locators
  • Surface Raceway Systems
  • Pre-Configured Cabling Units
  • Snap-In Modules
  • Audio/Video Accessories
  • Cable/DSL Routers
  • Power Drills and Drivers
  • Printers and Faxes
  • Tone and Probe Kits
  • Cable Testers

"The new market for high-speed, low-voltage wiring systems is a great opportunity for contractors and builders to increase sales and profits," commented Arnold Kelly, Graybar's Director for the Construction Market. "Graybar can help create demand for the Leviton Integrated Networks in the new construction market by supplying contractors and homebuilders with consumer brochures, sample ads, videos and user guides," Kelly commented.
