Graybar also announced the addition of Ericsson Enterprise VoIP communications systems, components and equipment to its products and services portfolio, which already includes VoIP systems from 3Com Corp. and privately held Mitel Networks. Graybar sells these systems primarily to certified communications and data contractors, who install them for small- and medium-sized businesses and other organizations, such as universities, primary and secondary schools and non-profits.
"The 15% increase in VoIP sales we posted for the first half of this year is evidence that, despite the telecom downturn, small and medium businesses and enterprises continue to make capital investments in their communications networks," said Al Eddings, vice president, Comm/Data Products, Graybar. "And the addition of Ericsson VoIP gear reinforces Graybar's commitment to helping our customers power and network industrial facilities and offices with speed, intelligence and efficiency." Graybar's 15% increase in VoIP sales in the first half of 2002 compared with the same period last year reflects the growth trends for VoIP enterprise systems.
