Fluke Corp. announced that Palmer Thornton, vice president of Sawdy Electric in Palmetto, Fla., was drawn as the winner of a Harley-Davidson 2002 Softtail Deuce Motorcycle in the company's “Take a Test Drive” Sweepstakes.

Thornton was one of more than 170,000 customers who entered the contest by “test driving” eligible Fluke products through local Fluke distributors participating in the promotion or online.

The distributor sales representative who he nominated on his entry form, John Fox of Rexel Consolidated in Bradenton, Fla., was awarded $1,000 cash.

“I never expected to win,” Fox said. “I send in for things all the time, but I've never won anything. I just went kind of numb when I heard.”
