Contractors 2000, a White Bear Lake, Minn.-based international affiliation of independent service contractors, has expanded its membership criteria to attract more contractors. Contractors 2000 market areas for all members have been reduced to a population base of 300,000, opening markets that previously were closed to membership.

Contractors 2000 offers eight management-level academies, two sales schools for technicians, two self-study programs for customer service and training schools in HVAC and plumbing. The company expects to add electrician skills training shortly. Members can now choose among four levels, each with a different selection of resource materials, training and services.
