O'Connell Electric Co. has acquired Clifford R. Gray, an electrical contracting firm in Schenectady, N.Y. O'Connell will keep on all 25 current Gray employees and continue operations out of the company’s facility in Schenectady, according to a report from The Times Union.

O'Connell CEO Victor Salerno said the company sees a lot of potential in eastern New York. O'Connell currently employs approximately 525 people and has offices in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse. The company ranked 43rd on EC&M 's 2014 Top 50 Electrical Contractors Listing with electrical and datacom sales of $120.7 million.
