An electrical contractor claims that Baylor University owes more than $250,000 for the contractor's services. Energy and Automation, Inc., which worked on Baylor University’s McLane Stadium, is suing the university. The contractor is seeking at least $257,377 in the lawsuit, filed earlier this month in Waco’s 414th State District Court.
According to the Waco Tribune-Herald, the company’s dispute actually is with Parsons Electric, a Minneapolis company that hired Energy and Automation to work on the new stadium’s audio-video systems from July 2013 to September 2014. But because the work was performed on Baylor property, the contractor filed a lien and the suit against Baylor, which hired Parsons Electric as a subcontractor.
Parsons and Energy and Automation officials are continuing talks in an effort to resolve the dispute, the article said.
