Crescent Electric to Expand Coverage in Twin Cities

Sept. 17, 2014
Second area facility to open in Minneapolis.

Crescent Electric Supply Co. has announced plans to expand operations in the Twin Cities with the opening of a new facility in Minneapolis and the relocation of its St. Paul facility to better serve its customers. In a related move, Crescent's DataComm business currently located in Golden Valley, Minn. will be integrated into the new state-of-the-art Minneapolis facility.

"The opening of a Crescent Electric branch in the University Industrial Park area at 2040 Elm Street SE provides an ideal location to support the overall development of downtown Minneapolis and the surrounding area," noted Jeff Anderson, Crescent's Minnesota district manager. "The new distribution facility will house an extensive inventory of electrical, datacomm, security and audio/visual products."

"Expansion in the Twin Cities market was part of our strategic plan and the sale of our current location at 295 Phelan Blvd helped to facilitate that process," continued Anderson. "The new St. Paul facility at 222 Starkey Avenue is very near our current facility and provides easy access for our customers. Both the new Minneapolis and the relocated St. Paul facility will open by the end of 2014."

Crescent Electric has been a major supplier of electrical products and services to the Twin Cities market since 1983 and operates additional Minnesota locations in Albert Lea, Baxter, Rochester, and St. Cloud.
