Keystone Engineering Group, Frazer Pa., has recently expanded its electrical services to include arc flash hazard analysis

Keystone Engineering Group, Frazer Pa., has recently expanded its electrical services to include arc flash hazard analysis. An arc flash is defined by NFPA 70E as “a flashover of electric current from one conductor to another.”  There are over 30,000 injuries every year from these incidents. Workers today are faced with the horrifying reality that insufficient safety training and safety labeling exist at water and wastewater facilities, placing workers at risk for injuries and even death.

The professional engineers at Keystone are currently focusing on the importance of arc flash hazard analysis – generating solutions to these life-threatening and costly challenges. Typical studies provide accurate single-line diagrams, short circuit and relay coordination studies, and arc flash labeling that is compliant with NFPA 70E and OSHA certified safety requirements.
