Electrician Falls to Death in Florida

The port was shut down while Fernandina Beach police and the company investigated the accident.

An employee of Kinder-Morgan died last week in an industrial accident at the Port of Fernandina Beach, Fla. Timothy Dubberly, 58, was in a loading crane doing electrical work when the cab separated and he fell 100 feet to the ground.

According to a report from News 4 Jax, the port was shut down while Fernandina Beach police and the company investigated the accident.

OSHA was notified of the fatality.

Kinder-Morgan, which is contracted to manage the port, released the following statement: "Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family. The company is providing grief counselors for employees at the terminal and also seeing to the needs of Mr. Dubberly’s family."
