City Electrician Found Dead at Softball Complex in Florida

A Clearwater, Florida, city employee who had been working with the electrical system at a softball complex died on the job Wednesday. A passerby at Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex called 911 after finding a man on the ground, unresponsive.

According to a report from The Tampa Bay Times, the victim was an electrician in his 60s who worked in the city building department. He had been working "in and around the lights and the electrical system for the softball fields," the city said in a news release.

The cause of death is unknown. City police, fire and risk management officials are investigating
